Hyundai is bringing an even hotter variant of its Veloster N high-performance hatchback to the 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Outside the Performance Concept, the orange is modified with a KWA hood. Some details were also revised. For exmaple an engine cover, more aggressive fog lamp surrounds, side skirts, a front splitter. Besides, there are an angular carbon-fiber rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser with Capristo cat-back anodized exhaust tips. 19-inch OZ Racing wheels with N-brand carbon wheel center caps mounted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
The chassis, suspension, and brakes are also upgraded with a WIF front. Center, and rear chassis brace with an aluminum caliper bracket, Daewon Steel anti-roll bars. In addition, 15.0-inch front rotors and 14.2-inch rotors out back. And finally, Extreme Racing coil-over suspension, H&R coil springs, Alcon forged six-piston front brake calipers and four-piston calipers in the rear.
Inside the cabin, orange color appears as a highlight. It’s found on the gear-knob boot, air-vent surround, parking lever, steering wheel, headliner and pillar liners, armrests, and doors. Besides that, some parts are added include carbon-fiber trim, Sabelt alcantara and carbon sport seats. An aluminum shifter and a red start/stop button are also revised.
Besides, the Veloster N Performance Concept also has the only powertrain enhancement being a Capriso cat-back exhaust system. Thanks to that, the car likely makes the same 275-horsepower from its turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that’s found under the hood of the production Veloster N with the Performance package.
Although the Veloster N Performance Concept is likely to remain little more than a SEMA Show car, its additional kit manages to tastefully show off what dynamic changes are possible for Hyundai’s hottest hatch.
