Reviewing the Lamborghini Urus 2019
Lamborghini is known for making seductive supercars whose pilots seem so carefree that they seem to need a boot, or backseat, or even a family.
They don’t even seem to mind that they’re so low they have to come in and out on all fours – anyway, the way I need to do it.
Yup, Lamborghini is famous for exotic racing cars for roads other than SUVs.
But it would be, I know it.
I know, because the new Lamborghini Urus came to stay with my family and we tortured it, not on the track or on the road, but in ‘noisy shopping, drop-down schools, parking lots. many floors and small roads every day.
Although I never wanted to put this game early in a review, I need to say that Urus is incredible. This is really a super SUV that things like Lamborghini like I hoped, but with one big difference – you can live with it.
This is why
Does it represent good value for the price? What features does it come with? 7/10
When it comes to the value of the Lamborghinis is almost irrelevant because we are already in the realm of supercars, where the price laws and don don really apply. Well, the old rule, if-you-have-to-ask-how-it-is-then-you-could probably be effective here would be effective here.
That’s why the first question I asked was – how much was it? The five-seat version we tested the list for $ 390,000, before costing on the road. You can also have your Urus in a four-seat configuration but you will pay more at $ 402,750.
The entry-level Lamborghini Huracan is also listed for $ 390K, while the Aventador’s list at entry is $ 789,809. So the Urus in comparison is an affordable Lamborghini. Or an expensive Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
You may already know this, but Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, Audi and Volkswagen share the same parent company and technology share.
The ‘MLB Evo’ platform as the basis for the Urus is also used by Porsche Cayenne, but that SUV costs nearly half for a price of $ 239,000. But it’s not as strong as Lamborghini, not as fast as Lamborghini and not as Lamborghini.
Upcoming standards are comprehensive leather interior, four-zone climate control, two touch screens, sat nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DVD player, surround view camera, proximity unlock, mode selection. steering, unlock close, leather-wrapped steering wheel, electric front seats, heating, adaptive LED headlights, electric tail lights and 21-inch alloy wheels.
Our Urus comes with options, lots of options – worth $ 67,692. This includes giant 23-inch rims ($ 10.28) with carbon ceramic brakes ($ 3535), leather seats with ‘Q-Citura’ diamond stitching ($ 5832) and optional stitching ($ 1237), Bang & Olufsen stereo ($ 11,665) and digital radio ($ 1414), night vision ($ 4949) and ambient light package ($ 5656).
Our car also has the Lamborghini badge sewn on the headrests as a $ 1591 option and luxurious floor mats of $ 1237.
What are rivals of Lamborghini Urus? Does it have anything other than a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, which is actually in the same football pitch?
Yes, the Bentley Bentayga SUV also shares the same MLB Evo platform and list of five-seat versions for $ 334,700. Then there’s a Range Rover SV Autobiography Supercharged LWB for $ 398,528.
Ferrari’s upcoming SUV will be Urus’s true rival, but you’ll have to wait until around 2022 for that.
The Aston MartinTHER DBX will come to us sooner – scheduled for 2020. But, don’t hold your breath for a McLaren SUV. When I interviewed the global product boss of early 2018, he said that one person has absolutely no problem. I asked him if he wanted to bet on it. He refused. What do you think?
Is there anything interesting about its design? 9/10
Anything interesting about Urus? That’s like asking what is so good about the really good stuff you eat there? See, whether you like the look of the Lamborghini Urus or not, you have to admit that it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, right?
I was a big fan of it when I first patted it in online photos, but in metal and in front of me wearing the yellow picture ‘Giallo Augo’, I found Urus beautiful, like A giant queen bee.
As I mentioned, Urus is built on the MLB Evo platform similar to the Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga and Audi Q8. While it does offer a ready-made facility with excellent comfort, dynamics and technology, it will limit the shape and style, but I think Lamborghini has done a great job of ‘ Urus’ clothes with a design that did not give up his Volkswagen Group were too bloody.
Urus looks exactly how a Lamborghini SUV should – from its side with beautiful greenhouses and spring-like trucks, to the Y-shaped taillights and rear spoiler.
At the front, as with the Aventador and Huracan, the Lamborghini badge boasts of its position and even the wide flat bonnet that looks like the cap on its supercar sibling has to go around the almost disrespectful emblem. . Underneath is a giant grille with air intake and a giant front splitter.
You can also see some hat tips for the original LM002 off-road Lamborghini from the late 1980s in the square wheel arches. Yes, this is Lamborghini’s first SUV.
The optional 23-inch wheels may look a bit big, but if anything can pull them off, I feel the Urus might be because a lot of other things about this SUV are on the top. Even everyday elements are lavish – for example, the fuel cap on our car is carbon fiber.
But then the everyday objects that I thought should be there, aren – like a windshield wiper on the back.
The Urus cockpit is as special (and Lamborghini) as the exterior. As with the Aventador and Huracan, the launch button is hidden beneath a red flip grenade launcher and the front passenger is separated by a floating center console, where many aircraft-inspired controls – yes. The lever to select steer the mode and there is a giant mode just to select reverse.
As we mentioned above, the interior of our car has been optional for the hilt, but I have to mention those seats again – the Q-Citura diamond stitching looks and feels beautiful.
However, not only the seats, every touch point in the Urus brings a sense of quality – indeed even places that never come in contact with passengers such as headlights and the feeling of luxury.
Urus has a large size – look at the dimensions: it is 5112mm long, 2181mm wide (including mirrors) and 1638mm high.
But what is the inside space like? Read on to find out.
How realistic is the inner space? 8/10
From outside the Urus cabin, it seems like it could be a cramped place – it’s a Lamborghini, after all, isn’t it? The fact is that Urus’s interior is spacious and great storage.
Our test car was a five-seater, but the Urus could also be ordered with just four seats. Alas, there’s no seven-seat version of the Urus, but Bentley doesn’t offer a third row in its Bentayga.
The front seats in our Urus are well-fitting but offer outstanding comfort and support.
The head, shoulders and forelegs to the front are fantastic, but it is the most impressive second row. My leg room, even as tall as 191cm, stands out. I can sit behind my driving position with about 100mm as a backup – watch the video if you don’t believe me. Headroom is good back there, too.
